Every year, cherry blossoms signal the true start of spring.

I have a huge old flowering cherry tree in my front yard, with masses of pink, frothy blossoms every spring. I paint them every year, inspired by so many different things.

Some years, it will be a buzzing bee on a single flower. Sometimes, it's the entire tree lit up by the setting sun, almost as if it was glowing from within.

This year, I've painted a light, airy painting of a few cherry blossoms dancing on the wind.
