Collection of Edwin Branch Just by chance in my garden, I saw the first flight of this tiny tiny hummingbird. It tumbled out of the nest, barely caught its balance and made it to a tall nicotania flower. The hummingbird perched upside down, breathing hard for a long time (while I madly snapped photos). Finally it flew off high in the sky. When I was pregnant with my first son, I painted a series of baby animals for his room. I started with this one. The strength and fragility of the baby hummingbird is amazing.
This original watercolor painting is on Twinrocker handmade watercolor paper, made in the USA by old world paper making techniques.
Gorgeous rough true deckle edges allow you to frame it floating on a mat or encased in one. Paintings will be shipped inside mats for stability, except on request.
I highly recommend floating the deckle edged paper for full visual impact.
