The romance of red roses fills a room with their heady bouquet. You breathe in the scent and are instantly transported to a beautiful place, full of bright colors and love. Roses are magical flowers, their scent an instant mood uplifter, their beautiful forms refined over centuries by patient gardeners.
Can you imagine the work that went into creating the perfect red rose with the rich fragrance? Choosing flowers not just for form but for that wonderful smell that fills the room. It's a long romance, indeed, that mankind has with the rose.
I know there are different colors of roses for different types of gifts, but I think different colors are for different moods and times in life. When I was young, I loved yellow roses. They smelled more than the red, and could be found in lovely color variations still. I still love yellow roses, but now my heart is divided between the red and white roses, York and Lancaster, I suppose. White roses have such lovely night scent, and layers of wonderful shadowing to paint. Add a tinge of pink - lovely.
Red roses are rich and gorgeous, bold and sensual. The fragrance is not as overwhelming as white roses in the night, but slowly and sensually fills the room they are in. They can tinge with orange, or deep dark reds. You'll find lovely variations in the shadows and highlights. Red roses are bold, but far from simple.
This red rose bouquet keeps romance filling your room long after other flowers have faded. They are exuberantly, gorgeously joyful.
This original watercolor painting is on Twinrocker handmade watercolor paper, made in the USA by old world paper making techniques.
Gorgeous rough true deckle edges allow you to frame it floating on a mat or encased in one. Paintings will be shipped inside mats for stability, except on request.
I highly recommend floating the deckle edged paper for full visual impact.
